Founded in 2007 by directors Chris Loveless and Carrie Fewins, Fallen Angel is progressive in style and purpose yet grounded in age old traditions of story-telling and romance.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR - CHRIS LOVELESS

Photograph of Chris Loveless Chris Loveless has worked as a director since the age of fifteen. He directed dozens of youth theatre productions in his native Cumbria before studying drama at St Martin’s College Lancaster and training for the profession at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.


He has worked at/for: Alma Bristol, ARTTS International, BBC TV, Bristol Old Vic, Coronation Hall Ulverston, Dukes Lancaster, European Ballet, Forum 28 Barrow, Greenwich Playhouse, Lowry Salford, Lyric Hammersmith, Millom Palladium, Novello Theatre Ascot, Redroofs Theatre Company, Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory, Stepping Out, Theatre West, The White Bear Kennington, Ambassador Theatre Group, Hackney Empire and Okai Collier Company amongst others.

Last year he directed Fallen Angel's debut production, The Custom of the Country (Time Out Critics' Choice), at the White Bear. 

His highly successful production of Anthony Neilson’s Normal: The Düsseldorf Ripper has played around the country in 2007 and is scheduled for its second London revival later this year.

Chris has worked as a producer on the London fringe; as an actor in TV and theatre and is a former member of the National Youth Theatre.

 

ARTISTIC ASSOCIATE - ANNABEL BATES

Annabel_Bates2.jpg (9773 bytes) Annabel trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama (BA Acting), graduating in 2006.

Theatre includes Kitty The Last Maharajah Musical (Hoxton Hall), Zenocia in The Custom of the Country (White Bear) and Actress in La Ronde (Lion and Unicorn).

Film includes Lisa in Ohms (Bruno Centofanti) and Georgia in The Tutor (Christopher Whyld).

Audio includes Narrator in Love in the Lakes (Hart McLeod).

Viral includes Girl (lead) in The Lung (Channel 4 and Cancer Research).

Annabel is an experienced teacher of acting for film, theatre, voice and Shakespeare technique. She also prepares students applying to drama school.


Annabel is currently working on an Anti-Knife Campaign with the Comedy School and The Metropolitan Police.
