Denise Heinrich-Lane

After training at Webber Douglas (and performing round pubs and clubs with the Ricky Wales Band) I toured extensively in the UK and Europe with the Cherub Company in classical productions, starting as the Chaste Maid in Middleton's The Chaste Maide of Cheapside - designed by the Quay Brothers (appearing later in their film The Eternal Day of Michel de Gelderode) - and particularly remember playing Ophelia in Hamlet.

I've worked extensively with Penny Diamond and Josh Darcy with the collective, The New Factory of The Eccentric Actor; including Nadia Krupskaya in Lenin in London and Breda Spittal in Jonathan Swain's AK27.

The last play in October was the epic General Strike 1926. I've also trained in Fine Art at Goldsmiths performing simultaneously in several comedies by Julie Balloo for Tom Hunsinger with Video Women. (really enjoyed Gloria in Dream Believer) The Rocket Girl directed by Christine Harmar-Brown at the Pleasance, Edinburgh was also interesting.

I have been commissioned for several live Art installations - including Lily Wo, the Robber and The photographer for V.I.A at the Spitz, for the Stoke Newington Festival as The Green Lady (living and performing high up in a tree for 3 days) with my ex- rabbit in a video Soft Nostomania for the EEC and have worked with actors in a sound installation in Abney Park, A little Noiseless Noise Among the Leaves. Earlier this year I was in a film directed by Neil Hodgekinson.
