Karen trained at Webber Douglas and completed the Three Year Diploma course in Acting. She then played at The Kings Theatre, Glasgow, in Jack and the Beanstalk, followed by a No 1 tour of The Pirates of Penzance travelling from Southampton to The Opera House in Belfast.

She played Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie touring Germany. In open-air theatre in Cambridge she played The Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, and Philostrate/ fairy in A Midsummer Nights Dream.

Other roles include, Yolanda, a Greek nymphomaniac in A Cockroach Waltz [play/film] at The Greenwich Playhouse, Simone - Wildes of Essex at Pentameters, Mrs Tucker/Receptionist - Stairway to Heaven at The Kings Head, Sindy- Rubber at The Etcetera Theatre.

Karen played twins in a film this year called The Glass of Milk, one depressed, the other psychotic! Other short films include: A prostitute in My Broken Heart by Dragon Productions, Car room assistant in Heart of Steel, Miranda [receptionist] in Interview in Space.

Earlier this year she was seen washing up on TV in The Fairy Liquid Advertisement. Karen is also an accomplished jazz and blues singer and has performed in various places in London.
